General Description:
This is a new position, based on our client’s continuing growth.  We’re looking for a Sr. Account Executive with significant experience delivering online marketing strategies and tactics to their clients.  Our candidate has strong interpersonal, customer service and organizational skills and a burning interest in new technologies and comfort with emerging technology projects.  This Sr. AE is integral to connecting the elements of the marketing process, the client, the strategy, the creative and the digital execution.  They consult with the client, provide strategic counseling and shepherd the client’s needs (project) through the agency to produce the innovative and successful marketing solutions, to be delivered online.

Primary Responsibilities:
•    Support the account service team, open jobs, proposals, estimate and conference reports, manage projects and audits billing.
•    Work closely with designers, developers/coders, monitoring workflow, timelines, potential functional issues and insuring on strategy execution.
•    Write clear creative briefs and provide unambiguous direction to creative and digital departments as necessary.
•    Think strategically interact with and support the client’s brand, be the voice of the client to internal agency staff.
•    Be responsible for creating estimates managing timelines and on-budget delivery
•    Participate in client presentations and meetings as necessary
•    Have contagious fun while doing all of the above!

Experience:
We’re looking for an account executive with a related degree and 5-10 years of account service, in a digitally savvy agency or client environment.  An MBA and consumer package experience is preferred, as is an ambition and relentless quest for innovative marketing knowledge and solutions utilizing emerging media and tactics.  Your ability to develop and foster client relationships, deliver sound strategic counseling and consistently do what you say you’re going to do will be the basis for your success.

Brian Slawin good friend in the tech sector (Busy Event) sent me an article on a start-up tech company actually doing something that may revolutionize the interviewing and hiring process.  I say "may", because this sector is historically rather established in it's practices.  Change is not often welcomed!

The Job Interview is Re-Invented!

Today HireVue, makers of a video based job interview and hiring management platform, announced that it raised a $17 million Series C round led by Investor Growth Capital along with an expansion of its debt facility for a total of $22 million in new funding. The company raised a total of $6 million during its B and C rounds, bringing its total raised to $28 million.

HireVue’s platform isn’t just for interviewing candidates over a webcam — you could do that with any video conferencing software. It lets interviewers prepare a set of questions that prospective employees can answer on their own time, but makes sure they only get one shot at recording the answers, much the same way you would only have one chance to answer a question in a face-to-face interview.  This makes it possible to avoid dealing with scheduling an interview, since answers can be recorded and viewed at different times. HireVue also provides hiring management solutions to deal with application reviews and decision making. The product is already in use by companies like Nike and Starbucks.
