General Description:
This is a new position, focused specifically on marketing for and engagement of the existing and prospective DIY customer, enhancing their engagement and retail experience. We’re looking for an experienced automotive enthusiast/expert with a creative marketing mind to lead agency relationship for our retail marketing client. Our ideal candidate has a blend of retail, branding and creative consumer promotion experience. You’ll be contributing to a team of collaborative top performers, who enjoy the benefits of helping a very successful retailer to succeed.

• Create and deliver cohesive brand messaging to build and reinforce brand awareness and intent to purchase.
• Design and implement in-store shopper marketing programs that leverage featured items/offers, merchandising tactics and point-of-sale signage.

• Design and implement in-store shopper marketing programs that leverage featured items/offers, merchandising tactics and point-of-sale signage.
• Provide on-going leadership for customer loyalty and satisfaction measurement efforts
• Develop market specific initiatives to address targeted consumer groups and/or store support needs.
• Represent the voice of the DIY customer through social media and shopper marketing engagement.
• Develop in store sales/marketing materials including, but not limited to POP displays, statics, danglers, in store signage.
• Contribute to the development of the annual marketing plan and manage the annual budget for retail sales/marketing activities.
• Travel as necessary to manage vendors, agency and event/sponsorship partners.
Experience:
We’re looking for candidates with a marketing degree and at least ten years of experience with at least seven in a multi-channel retail environment. Comprehensive understanding and practical experience successfully developing creative concepts useful across marketing, advertising, promotions, market research, loyalty and relationship marketing disciplines is essential. An understanding of and experience with media planning/buying is helpful. Prior management experience in corporate advertising, marketing or at an advertising agency would be helpful. Self-motivated, ambitious and highly collaborative individuals with a passion for marketing at retail is a given.
Compensation:
