General Description:
The successful candidate is accountable for the voice, style, tone, messaging, and thought leadership of our Client’s brand and have overall responsibility for its content output across all mediums. S/he will lead and manage a combination of internal and external content resources to produce all brand related content. S/he will also perform writing and editing work, as needed, including developing brand content guidelines. The Director of Marketing will be accountable for all marketing initiatives to drive traffic, engagement, and leads that deliver revenue. As part of this, s/he will develop and manage the brand editorial calendar and associated organization workflows. They will also perform ongoing measurement and optimization of the program, including oversight of supporting social channels.

Responsibilities:
• Make sure that company brand copy needs and goals are met in all aspects, including timelines and budget
• Develop editorial governance for all branded content
• Ensure that precise brand content standards are both set and adhered to, consistently producing the highest quality work.
• Make sure that a consistent stream of quality work is created for the brand
• Work with other departments to garner needed resources in order to complete projects
• Track record of managing a brand content marketing campaign across multiple mediums: website, email, paid media, social, etc.
• Exceptionally talented writer and editor, including blog and white paper creation
• Technical knowledge of current SEO concepts and principles
• Technical knowledge of email and marketing automation
• Thorough understanding of how content drives the customer journey from awareness to conversion
• Understand the sales and content marketing sourcing cycle
• 5-10 years of leadership on a content marketing-based brand
• Knowledge of paid media integration in a content marketing campaign
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced, lean, and ever changing marketing environment
• The ability to solve problems with limited information and the presence of ambiguity
Be an even stronger candidate with:
• Experience leading the brand content marketing of a SaaS company
• Experience in developing internal and external training programs for a SaaS platform
• Ability to audit and implement lead generation tracking
• Proficiency across multiple CMS platforms: Wordpress, Drupal, etc.
• Proficiency with Salesforce CRM
• Google Adwords, Google Analytics, Marketing Automation (Hubspot, Marketo, etc.) certification
